Rechargeable Fan OEM Process: From Requirements to Mass Production
A smooth OEM project begins with a clear specification. Most delays happen when branding, electrical requirements, packaging and approval responsibilities are not confirmed before production.
Step 1: Define the market and product brief
Provide target country, sales channel, model type, size, functions, quantity, price range and planned delivery date. Explain whether the product is for retail, distribution, projects or promotional use.
A complete brief allows the supplier to identify which changes are simple OEM options and which require new tooling or engineering work.
Step 2: Confirm the technical specification
Approve voltage, frequency, plug, adapter, battery pack, speed levels, control method, oscillation, USB output, lighting and solar-panel configuration.
Use a signed specification sheet. Product photos alone are not enough because similar-looking models can use different internal components.
Step 3: Confirm branding and appearance
Supply the logo in a usable vector format and confirm logo position, printing method, color standard and acceptable size. For custom plastic color, use an agreed color reference rather than a phone screenshot.
Request a digital mockup first, then approve a physical sample when appearance is important.
Step 4: Develop packaging and manuals
Confirm gift box or brown box, carton marks, barcode, labels, warning text, language, accessory list and user manual. Packaging design should match actual product dimensions and local compliance needs.
Allow time for artwork checking. Incorrect voltage, model number or accessory information can create costly rework.
Step 5: Approve the sample and production standard
Test the sample for appearance, airflow, noise, runtime, charging, controls, stability and packaging. Record every approved detail in writing.
The final approved sample should be treated as the reference for mass production and inspection.
Step 6: Production, inspection and shipment
Confirm the production schedule, material preparation, in-process checks and final inspection plan. Before shipment, verify quantity, functions, accessories, labels, cartons and loading condition.
Keep all approvals, changes and inspection results in one order file so both parties can trace decisions.
